Counseling Groups

Fleming's counseling services include small groups available for students to participate in each year. These groups are open to all students and are aimed at meeting their social, emotional, and/ or behavioral needs.  It may be a short group (i.e. 6 weeks) or a longer group (12 weeks).

Groups will run about 45 minutes per week, and will be during their academic intervention (or Multi-Tiered System of Support/MTSS) time, so as to not disrupt their academic and/ or first instruction classes.

  • During a group, students may share feelings, participate in role-plays, play games, and engage in other activities.

  • Students participating in these social/emotional learning groups will not be in an academic intervention group on that one day.

  • Parents and guardians can request their student to participate in a group, as well as classroom teachers.

  • Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or feedback. Not all groups run all years, but we want to hear from you if there is an interest.

See the list below for groups offered this year, and use this page as a reference if you and your child are interested in having them participate in a group.

Thank you!
