I have been working in literacy intervention at Fleming School since the 2018-19 school year. I have an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from UVM and a Master of Education in Reading from Saint Michael's College. I taught in the fields of agricultural, environmental, and outdoor education for many years before switching to the classroom setting. Prior to working at Fleming, I taught at Folsom School, the Bellwether School and tutored for the Champlain Valley School District and the Stern Center.
My husband, a science teacher at CHS, and I have lived in the Champlain Islands for close to thirty years where we raised our two daughters, who are also now teachers. I love working with the Fleming community. The fourth and fifth grade students' curiosity, enthusiasm and energies are contagious! Outside school, I enjoy walking, gardening and volunteering on the Board of South Hero Land Trust.
