I have been teaching and loving it at Summit Street School since 2006. I taught third grade for 12 years with a terrific team and I am currently privileged to work with an incredible team of educators in Kindergarten for the last 5 years. I have two children in Middle School who keep me curious and full of wonder. I am very grateful to laugh and learn with our students, families, and colleagues every day and be a part of our students' amazing growth.

Dear Kindergartener,

Welcome to kindergarten! I am really looking forward to learning and exploring with you this year. My name is Mrs. Cole and I have been spending lots of time with my husband, my 14 year old daughter, Maddie, and my 12 year old daughter, Aliana. We are going on lots of bike rides, nature walks, camping, and swimming adventures as well as spending time in our gardens and playing outside. What do you like to do outside?

This summer, I hope you get to play outside and read lots of interesting books. You are going to have so much fun in Kindergarten! I can’t wait to hear all your stories, to write with you, to read with you, to count with you, to create with you, and to play with you. Most of all, I can’t wait to get to know you.

Now I am back at school getting our classroom ready. You will find your name all over our classroom! I hope you are very excited about coming to school, but it is okay to be a little bit nervous too. We are going to have a lot of fun together!
