Summit Street School created this guide to help explain how Educational Support Teams (ESTs) work. The team is made up of school staff members.

The primary purpose of the EST is to assist classroom teachers and staff in developing a plan that will support a child in the educational program. 

The Parents’ Role in the Educational Support Team (EST) is to:

• Contact classroom teacher

• Ask questions

• Share information

• Offer suggestions

• Support the plan

• Stay in touch
