ADL students stood outside the EWSD District Office in hopes of engaging people passing by in conversation. The students asked questions in an effort to gauge how the community feels about and interacts with middle school students. The long-term goal is to have ADL and the community strengthen their unity.

🗓️ The 2024-25 EWSD school year calendar has been finalized. School districts in the Champlain Valley have committed to a regional calendar that includes 175 common school days. 🗓️ This means that all districts in Chittenden, Franklin, and Addison counties will follow a very similar schedule. Superintendents also agreed that all districts will start the school year on Monday, August 26, 2024.

The Community College of Vermont is pleased to invite the local community to join their students, staff, and faculty to their 21st Annual International Food Festival! This event is a relaxed potluck where attendees share food, music, and lively conversation. Over the last two decades, there have been more than 20 countries of origin represented. The Heavenly Food Pantry, located at the First Congregational Church on Main Street in Essex Junction, will be open to families residing in Essex, Essex Junction, and, Westford on Monday, April 15, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
As usual, there are no income requirements to visit the food pantry and a variety of food is available to everyone; however, additional food provided by the USDA is available once a month to eligible families who fall below federally mandated guidelines. Families not able to attend the pantry may call the Church office at 878-5745 Ext. 102 between 9 a.m. and noon today or Monday to leave contact information so arrangements for delivery can be made. Follow-up calls will be made on Monday. The next food pantry distribution will occur on Thursday, April 25 from 3-6 p.m.
