Informational Technology, Design, Engineering and Arts is a program that prepares students to be successful on a path to technology and design careers.
In Pre-Tech 2:IDEA, we study careers incorporating technology and/or the arts. Through making and creating we discover our personal strengths and explore career options in multiple industries. Some topics we study are electronics, game development, elements of design, and media of all types! Within each project, we learn about the art, science, and technical components involved.
Credits are earned through applicable activities and understanding is demonstrated through class projects. Some units include; Brain Science, Product and Marketing, Electronics, Fine Art and Information Technology.

Entrance Prerequisites
Applicants must have a 9th grade transcipt that shows an award of five full credits including:
1 Math
1 English
1 Social Studies
1 Science
1 Elective
Curriculum Components
Sophomores select one of the five curricular areas to focus on throughout the year. All Pre-Tech programs are representative of all the programs offered at CTE.
