About EHS Academies
EHS Academies are not stand-alone schools but consist of an integrated pathway of courses and learning opportunities within EHS.
Academy students meet the standard graduation course requirements and also participate in Academy pathway requirements.
EHS offers students the opportunity to participate in three Academy pathways:
What are flexible Pathways?
“Flexible Pathways”, a component of the Vermont Agency of Education’s Act 77, describes alternative ways that students can participate in Essex High School. It recognizes that each learner is unique and may therefore benefit from unique Pathways through their educational journey.
The EHS Integrated Academies offer Pathways that include specific EHS courses that may fulfill EHS graduation requirements. In addition to coursework, Academy students fulfill Academy Endorsement requirements and other learning opportunities in and out of the classroom.
