Student Support
Essex High School’s Support Services environment utilizes a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) to provide a comprehensive framework for addressing the diverse needs of all students. This proactive approach incorporates various levels of intervention to ensure that every student receives the appropriate support for academic and personal success.
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) are tailored for students with identified disabilities, ensuring they receive specialized instruction and accommodations to thrive in the classroom. 504 Plans support students with chronic health conditions or disabilities that do not qualify for an IEP but still require adjustments to their learning environment. Educational Support Team plans offer targeted, shorter term interventions for students facing academic or behavioral challenges, enabling them to succeed in a general education setting.
