Due to the 2-hour delay, we need to adjust our VTCAP testing schedule.
Friday, April 5th (B day) will be 9th grade (section 1) English and 11th grade Science (section 2).
The final day of testing will be on Tuesday, April 9th (B day), and will be 9th Grade English (section 2).
Please note that this means block 1/2 begins at 10:00 am on Friday, April 5. Block 1/2 on Tuesday, April 9 will begin at 10:35 am.
Please refer to the adjusted schedule below:
Testing Procedures for Students
Please try to be on time! If you arrive late, quietly enter your testing room. If you are more than 15 minutes late you will not be admitted to the testing room, and you will need to make up the assessment during the week after April break.
Bring your charged school-issued Chromebook with you. Most of the loaners we have do not support the testing platform. You must test on a school-issued device. Turn the power completely off and then back on on your Chromebook before the testing day so it can run updates.
Students must remain in the classroom until the exam period is over.
The Vermont AOE guidelines state that, "The use of cellphones or any electronic device during a testing session is strictly prohibited". PHONES WILL BE COLLECTED BY THE PROCTOR - NO EXCEPTIONS! You will not be allowed to be on any electronic device (including your Chromebook) after your test is completed. Please bring a book or something quiet to work on. Phones will be returned at the end of the session.
Wired earbuds will be distributed for Session 2 of the ELA assessment to those who need them. Students may use their own earbuds/headphones as well.
All makeup tests will be scheduled during the week after April break (April 29 - May 3).
