Congratulations to the EHS boys’ and girls’ indoor track and field teams who took part in the state meet this past weekend at UVM. The boys won their second straight and fifth title since 2019, scoring 130 points to hold off St. Johnsbury. The girls finished third overall in the state, behind Champlain Valley and St. Johnsbury.
On the boys’ side, Alexander Johnson won a pair of events, taking home first place in both the shot put and weight throw. Sanjin Hadzic set a new state record in the 55 hurdles, winning in a time of 7.50, while both Thomas Meek (55-meter dash) and Greg Maiberger (long jump) also earned first-place finishes.
For the girls, EHS took the top spot in a pair of relays, winning both the 4x200 and 4x800. View this story from the Burlington Free Press for the full meet results.
