Multilingual Learner students at EHS started a unit on exploring the natural world. The students collaborated with the CTE Natural Resources Program and visited sugarbushes in Westford. Each student had the opportunity to learn about the tools and process of tapping trees. When they arrived, the CTE students had made a list of all the tools in each student's home language. It was a great opportunity to exchange culture, learn, and have fun together! 👏

Don't miss out on Ellie! One Act Play written by Senior Theo Herrin. When a life-altering tragedy changes the course of Elliot’s life, his carefree youth comes to an end. Speaking to his once friends becomes impossible; his parents understand nothing; his younger sibling infuriates him; and he is haunted by a terrifying group of escaped prisoners, who seem to want nothing more than to tell him that everything is his fault, and nothing will ever change. The question is not whether escape is possible - but whether Elliot is strong enough to find it. Students can purchase tickets during lunches this week. Show Dates: March 14th-16 at 7 pm March 17th at 2 pm Tickets will also be available online and at the door. Seating is assigned to specific seat numbers (same system as with Little Shop).

On Monday, March 6th, several Essex High School Student Government members volunteered at the Essex Town Showcase and Soup Night event. The students helped to serve soup and assisted in distributing materials and information. According to Tammy Getchell, the Essex Town Public Information Officer, "involving students in local government activities is an excellent way to encourage their interest in decision-making processes within their local communities in the future. The event was a great success."
