The Essex High School Global Leadership Program (GLP) hosted a Speaker Series event on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Hula in Burlington, Vermont. They welcomed Ambassador Daniel Mulhall.
Dan Mulhall was Ireland's Ambassador to the United States from 2017-2022 and is currently a Visiting Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics.
The Global Leadership Program first hosted the Ambassador in the fall of 2018. Since then they have stayed in touch (EHS has developed a partnership with the ambassador's alma mater in Waterford, Ireland.)
GLP is for high school students with a focus on global studies, cultural competency, and leadership development. The program features a Speaker Series, a Language and Culture Series, and virtual international exchanges with partner schools in Ireland, Denmark, Belgium, Spain, and most recently, Finland.
