EWSD Superintendent Search

Message to the Community

With current Essex Westford School District Superintendent Beth Cobb announcing that she will retire in June of 2025, the EWSD Board has started the process of finding her replacement.

The Board will use this page to store information about the search, including opportunities for the community to take part.

Our goal is to recruit, screen, and select the next superintendent of the EWSD. Our purpose is to lead a respectful, transparent, and accessible superintendent search process that honors and is guided by the input and needs of the community and is designed to mitigate bias every step of the way.

Please watch the video message to the right from Board Chair Robert Carpenter, as he explains the search process and how the community will be involved. You can also reach out to him with any questions that you may have.

You can also review our Search Process FAQs for answers to some of the most commonly asked questions.
