Apple phones/iPads: Adding Home Screen Link

For: iPhones, iPads and Apple devices

• Open your school's menu in a browser window on your phone. For a complete list of all EWSD school menu pages.

• Tap the Action button. (In Safari, the icon is at the bottom of the browser. In Chrome, it's in the address bar, upper-right corner.)

• In the menu that appears, scroll over and hit "Add to Homescreen." You’ll be able to enter a name for the shortcut link.

• It will then appear on your home screen and is movable, like any other app. 

• Please note: All K-8 schools serve the same hot meals, with some buffet offerings at middle schools. There's no need to save multiple schools if you have children across K-8 schools.

Android Phones: Adding Home Screen Link

For: Samsung, Moto, LG, HTC, Huawei, Nextel

• Open your school's menu in a browser window on your phone. For a complete list of all EWSD school menu pages.

• Tap the Menu button in Chrome, or Page option in Firefox (this icon will vary by phone model and browser but is often three vertical dots.)

• In the dropdown, hit "Add to Homescreen."  You’ll be able to enter a name for the shortcut and then Chrome will add it to your home screen.

• It will then appear on your home screen and is movable like any other app. 

• Please note: All K-8 schools serve the same hot meals, with some buffet offerings at middle schools. There's no need to save multiple schools if you have children across K-8 schools.

While EWSD encourages families to choose which we method works best for them, our technology team found the mobile version of the website to be user friendly and accessible, while the app is still working on some feature development.
