Team Equinox at EMS participated in the Trout in the Classroom (TIC) program this year. Through TIC, classrooms get 100 brook trout eggs from the Vermont hatchery in January and they raise them until it is time to release them into a local stream.
Along the way, students learn about water quality, fish life cycles, and riparian habitats. Team Equinox successfully raised and released 72 trout into the Browns River on May 28.
