On behalf of the Essex Westford School District (EWSD) Board of Education, I am excited to share the important steps taken that begin our superintendent search process. The EWSD Board has contracted with Alma Advisory Group to lead the search process. Alma has demonstrated excellence in facilitating transparent, thorough, national search processes that incorporate deep levels of community engagement.
As a Board, we are committed to a transparent process that is driven by input across our community stakeholders. In that spirit, we will be sharing regular updates to the community about the search; with many ways to get involved in the process. Shortly, we will launch a landing page that will be dedicated to providing updates, information about the search process, and a timeline of key activities. We will strive to ensure that frequently asked questions will be covered on the landing page while creating space for extended discussion during our planned engagement opportunities. As board chair, I will remain the point of contact for other search related inquiries via my email.
Please join us during our regularly scheduled board meeting on September 17 at 6:30 PM for the official search kick off. Over the next few weeks, we will share more detailed information about how we hope to gather input from all corners of our community to shape the profile of the district’s next leader. Students, parents/guardians, staff, and community members are warmly invited to participate!
