As part of their recent reading unit, the Hiawatha first graders are learning about how other children around the world access books. They are also working to get three little free libraries built and installed throughout the school district! Local resident, Gary Gawor, has built their first little library and students plan to decorate them before they are installed.

CTE student leadership hosted the annual t-shirt assembly. All students, from 17 sending schools as well as adult students, came together to celebrate being a CTE community! Student representatives from all 14 CTE programs, as well as the 5 Pre-Tech programs, gave a brief description of what they learn in their respective programs. The assembly ended with raffle prizes that each program provided. It's a fun and informative way for students to come together as a community and learn about other programs besides their own. It's become a CTE tradition that students look forward to, and they all get a CTE t-shirt! ππ
